Pre-requisite For Sailing At St Andrews Lakes

For the safety of everyone, we require all sailors to be at a reasonably competent level. We therefore ask for evidence of having recently completed RYA Stage 1 or RYA Level 1 in Dinghy Sailing.

​When?

Organised sailing is every Sunday morning 09:00-1100. Even if the weather is foul, we still meet to cover shore based elements.​

Organised Sailing Session Content

Our sailing sessions are all about having fun as well as learning. Each session is supervised with on-the-water safety cover and RYA instructors offering light hearted coaching if required.

Each person learns and participates in a different way to the next, it's entirely down to the individual as to whether they are having a casual sail or building upon their current skill set.

Equipment

If you don't have your own equipment; Wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and even the sailing dinghy are available to use for each session.

How To Take Part

Once you have completed RYA Stage 1 or RYA Level 1 it is just a case of book your sailing sessions online as and when you are available.
